Going with the flow

The Turnstones were the first to arrive back to the beach from their breeding grounds.  They are so entertaining to watch, as they turn over the stones on the beach and seaweed looking for their next meal.   This pair were braving the incoming high tide flowing over the rocks on the beach.  They would then probe for any food that was left behind from the wave.  Their behaviour is interesting, especially when in a larger group, there is definitely a hierarchy as some birds push there way in to get the best spot for feeding.
