IMAGE OF THE MONTH

MARCH 2020

Luskentyre Blue

We had made the long awaited trip back to Harris.  It is a location where I feel truly inspired and completely relaxed.  Going off season you do not see many other souls. I have never made it to Lewis as we cannot drag ourselves away from the beaches in Harris.  Everyday they are different with the changing tides, weather fronts constantly passing through and the epic Hebridean light, no two days are ever the same.  This is what draws me to the area, it is a blank canvas, with no iconic mountain peaks, or waterfalls you have to think creatively to make your images.

It was a real mixed bag of weather but there lies the challenge of keeping your kit dry and sand free.  As it is worth putting up with the passing showers as the light is magical during these times.

On this trip I set out to take more videos and timelapse video to capture the weather and the crashing waves which I just love to watch and is quite mesmerising.

I have put together a compilation of stills, videos and timelapse from my trip.  I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed capturing the footage.

Please note my trip to Harris was before the lock down w/c 7 March 2020.
