Autumn Gold

The peak autumn colour arrived towards the end of October.  I knew from previous experience to arrive early to capture the mist before it burnt off from the rising sun.  At first the whole scene was shrouded in mist but within no time it lifted to reveal the stunning golden leaves of the silver birch.
