Oldshoremore Beach, Sutherland

A beautiful quiet beach, well off the beaten track, it is linked to two other smaller beaches. The machair here is well known for its special wildflowers.

I had not visited this beach before and was hoping for a sunset after such fantastic weather during the day. It was not to be as a bank of cloud blocked the setting sun. I settled for the warm afterglow instead.
