January 2024

Crestie flitting about in the snow

January has been light on snow, with just a brief spell that conveniently fell over a weekend, allowing me to seize the opportunity. The snow clung to the trees, creating a picturesque scene that I knew would soon vanish as the sun rose. These were the exact conditions I had been hoping for. All I needed was a cooperative Crested Tit to pose amidst the snow-covered branches, and thankfully, I found one.

The light was stunning, casting a beautiful glow over the snowy landscape and highlighting the delicate features of the Crested Tit. It was a fantastic start to the year, capturing such a serene and captivating moment in nature.

These fleeting winter scenes are a reminder of the beauty that can be found in the briefest of moments, and it’s a privilege to capture and share them through photography. Here’s to more enchanting encounters in the months to come!
