Say Hello
Abernethy Forest, Cairngorm National Park, Scotland
Description
After a day photographing the squirrels I was making my way back to the car, I stopped briefly to take some water when I heard the usual noises of the squirrel making it’s way towards me, I froze as it had not seen me and I wanted to see how close it would come to me. I slowly reached for my camera in the bag, the squirrel was on the ground at this point and the decision was which side of the tree would it pop it’s head round to look at me, thankfully I guessed right, it stood up on it’s hind legs to get a better look at me, saw I was no threat and carried on past me onto my feeding site. It was a lovely close encounter and I love the way it posed for me.
