Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

This little squirrel would run up and down this fallen silver birch tree so I positioned myself to be able to capture it.  The snow had started so it was going to head off into it’s drey for shelter but it stopped and had a wee curious look at me before it headed off.

The snow did not last and it soon came back to continue to cache it’s food for the winter months.
