Taking the high ground

There’s something endlessly charming about Turnstones—their confiding nature makes them a joy to observe up close. This particular bird wandered along the shore, patiently waiting for the incoming tide to deliver fresh foraging opportunities. As the waves crept closer, it hopped onto a nearby stone, almost as if it were avoiding the chill of the rising water—a delicate but purposeful movement that added to its quiet, endearing character.
