OCTOBER 2016

Rainbow over Craigellachie

I had taken the last week in October off to capture the stunning autumn colour.  Weather forecast was constantly changing each day for every location I wanted to go and photograph so just had to take my chance and chase the light.  On this day it was forecast for light cloud with a slim chance of sunny intervals. As soon as I reached this location, the sun came out and illuminated the trees, then the rainbow appeared. The clouds were moving fast so I knew I had to move fast if I wanted to capture the rainbow over the lochan.  I quickly grabbed the camera out of the bag, slipped on the poloriser, no chance to set up the tripod. I knew the composition I wanted, quickly exposed for the scene then took the shot and the rainbow was gone and never came back but I got my shot! 🙂
