Winter Light

Findhorn Valley, Scotland

Description

After an enjoyable but hard trek up in the hills, I was making my way down to head back to the car that the light broke through the clouds and bathed the surrounding hills in dappled light.  The sun was going down fast as you can see the foreground was quickly put into shadow.  I had to move quickly so bag back off and grabbed the camera and handheld the panorama image.  It works well as a colour image, but in mono, it really brings out the textures in foreground snow and the contrasting light in the hillside.
