Mouthful

Inverness-Shire, Scotland

Description

I was watching this beautiful little sedge warbler flying about effortlessly catching flying insects and then head off into it’s nest site to feed it’s chicks.  I thought this must be worth the effort to try capture an image of it.  So I set up in a spot it seemed to prefer and sure enough here it came with this huge mouthful of food.  It was a warm day so the insects were in abundance so the birds were all taking advantage, reed buntings and swallows to name a few.
