Description

The golden eagle is such an iconic bird.  To be able to capture images of it in the wild would take special permission, access from landowners, a license from SNH and a lot of time and patience.  It is wildlife photographers like Laurie Campbell who get’s this privilege.  I have had the honor to meet Laurie on a few occasions.  A true gentlemen and infinitely knowledgeable and passionate about all nature.

I would thoroughly recommend Laurie Campbell and Roy Dennis book Golden Eagles first published in 1997. It gives a real insight into the lives of the golden eagles and images of the birds and their chicks on the nest.

This golden eagle is captive but it was such an amazing experience to be able to see this magnificent bird close up.
