Caledonian Scots Pine

Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

Description

Taken while on a leisurely walk through Rothiemurchus forest.  I had just purchased the Olympus OMD EM5 Mark 2 and I paired it up with the wide angle and is so small and light I was carrying it in my jacket pocket. I just love the old Caledonian Scots Pine Trees found in Rothiemurchus.  This part of the forest was quite boggy so this prevented the trees to develop fully into a forest.  What caught my eye was the s-curve in the marsh leading your eye towards the solitary pine tree.  So out came the camera and I was pleased to say it passed the test.  The EM5 Mark 2 has been the camera I have taken most of my panorama images with but is best paired up with my smaller more compact lenses if I am hand holding.
